Anyone who wrote off the all-new Lincoln MKZ as a failure after a couple early shaky sales months looks pretty silly now—sales of the MKZ have gone into orbit over the last several months, helping keep the Ford Motor Company as the best-selling automaker in the United States for the fourth consecutive year.
The Lincoln MKZ followed up a 114 percent increase in sales in November with a no-less-impressive73 percent rise in Decembe. The Lincoln MKZ ended the year by leading the brand to an overall increase of 8 percent in the month of December. These huge sales numbers follow very successful marketing campaigns that have led to great reviews and great word of mouth press for the MKZ.
John Felice, Ford’s vice president of U.S. Marketing, Sales, and Service, celebrated the success of the entire lineup, including the Lincoln MKZ. “December was a strong close to an even better year for Ford Motor Company,” said Felice. “We saw strong growth across the entire Ford lineup and made significant gains in the import-dominated coastal markets.”
