In a series of senior leadership changes, Lincoln Motor Company has named a new president. Kumar Galhotra, currently the vice president of Engineering, will be the new Lincoln president, effective September 1.
This is a new dedicated position and is meant to help grow the Lincoln brand around the world. Galhotra will be the most senior leader overseeing the worldwide Lincoln operations, including all team members, marketing, product development, sales, and service.
In addition to a new Lincoln president, Lincoln Motor Company is replacing the retiring 32-year Ford veteran Paul Mascerenas. Mascerenas currently serves as chief technical officer and vice president of Research and Advanced Engineering. He will retire effective October 1. His successor will be Dr. Ken Washington, who will step in August 18.
“These changes underscore our commitment to build on the success of our One Ford plan by accelerating our pace of progress,” Ford President and CEO Mark Fields said, in a statement. “They also make clear we are serious about Lincoln as a world-class luxury brand and that product excellence and innovation are what will deliver growth and define our entire company going forward.”
Here at Lincoln of Troy, we want to congratulate these men on their new leadership positions and look forward to where they will lead the Lincoln brand in the coming years.
