Lincoln MKC and MKZ Help Sponsor ESSENCE’s Black Women in Music

Lincoln is partnering with ESSENCE.

Two all-new Lincoln Motor Company vehicles, the Lincoln MKC and MKZ, both helped sponsor ESSENCE magazine’s Black Women in Music event, which has become one of the music industry’s most popular events leading up to the Grammys. This year, Emeli Sande, the up-and-coming pop star who sings hits like “Next to Me” and “My Kind of Love,” was honored at ESSENCE’s event.

Sande already has a long history of collaboration with the Lincoln Motor Company, especially since she was hand selected to participate in Lincoln’s “Journey” campaign, which showcases “inspiration, entrepeneurship, and people who have followed their dreams.” The Lincoln MKC sat on the red carpet at the event, while the stylish Lincoln flagship, the MKZ, chauffeured VIPs including Sande to and from the event.

“Emeli Sandé brings fresh, groundbreaking style as a performer and songwriter, which makes her a perfect match with the new perspective the Lincoln Motor Company is bringing to the luxury segment,” said Shawn Thompson, Lincoln manager, multicultural marketing, in the brand’s press release. “Lincoln is pleased to be the presenting sponsor of the 2014 ESSENCE Black Women in Music event because it celebrates strong and creative women.”

The Lincoln Motor Company’s work with programs and events like the “Journey” campaign and Black Women in Music prove just how serious the brand is about their new, ultra-stylish brand image. Come in to Lincoln of Troy and check out the whole revamped Lincoln lineup today.
