New Lincoln Navigator Concept Stuns New York

Lincoln showed up to the 2016 New York International Auto Show with a special surprise that few had seen before. The Lincoln Navigator is a full-size SUV and a redesign seems to be a part of the brand’s comeback since the 2008 market crash. As Lincoln’s most well-known nameplate, revamping the SUV is a good jumpstart. The new Lincoln Navigator concept boasts two gull wing doors and rides on turbine-themed 24-inch wheels. The exterior also boasts a new signature front grille. As for the interior, there’s only one word to describe it: glorious. Horizontally ribbed seats, a piano-key shifter, and a retro center console are just a few of the…

Matthew McConaughey Stars in Lincoln Navigator Ad

“Alright, alright, alright” is something you might have heard in the new ad by Lincoln. The ad spot aired during the Grammy Awards on February 15th and featured a familiar face. That’s right, Matthew McConaughey stars in the Lincoln Navigator ad. Okay, so he doesn’t actually say “alright, alright, alright” but there’s still plenty of McConaughey personality in the commercial. The spot is called “Time to Eat” and features McConaughey driving the 2016 Lincoln Navigator, talking to his backseat passengers about what they want to eat. Then, you find out the passengers are dogs as the camera pans back to show them in the expansive back seat. The ad subtle…

Lincoln Navigator’s Five-Star Safety Rating Is Top in Class

Sometimes bigger is better—especially when it comes to safety. That’s why it comes as no surprise that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently awarded the 2015 Lincoln Navigator its highest score of five-stars in overall safety. “The 2015 Navigator combines the highest possible safety rating from the federal government with a fresh interpretation of the classic, full-size luxury sport utility vehicle,” said Steve Kenner, global director of the Ford Automotive Safety Office. “From its more refined appearance and luxurious interior appointments to its advanced safety systems and driver-assist features, the 2015 Navigator is what our customers asked for.” The Lincoln Navigator’s five-star safety rating was helped in part…

With a sleek new design and powerful new engine, the 2015 Lincoln Navigator is a great take on a classic. Aluminum Body in the Future for Lincoln Navigator

Although we are still early in the model year of 2015, here at Lincoln of Troy, we are already looking into the future of Lincoln automobiles. Specifically, we’re looking forward to 2017, when the Lincoln Navigator is likely to get a redesign to include an aluminum body. The current model of the Navigator was released in the 2007 model year, so it would seem it’s time for an update. The change in platform will be similar to the Ford F-150, who recently lost 700 pounds by switching to an aluminum body. Although we don’t know much yet about design and styling, we do know that Lincoln has always led the…

2015 Lincoln Navigator Features Ultra-Luxurious Ziricote Wood

Ziricote wood—it’s not your everyday kind of wood. It’s an exotic hardwood found in only a few parts of the world. Its rarity and quality has made it a perfect match for luxury yachts, fine furniture, and even some premium acoustic guitars. Now, you’ll also find it in the new 2015 Lincoln Navigator, adorning the doors panels, instrument panel, center console, and steering wheel. In an effort to preserve its natural quality, no stains or dyes were added to the wood other than a thin protective coat. “Altering the ziricote wood would blemish its beauty,” said Barb Whalen, color and material design manager. “You can’t improve on nature.” This special…

All-New Navigator Comes with Luxurious and Exclusive Ziricote Wood Materials

It’s a material usually reserved for high-caliber products like yachts, high-class furniture, and even the best quality acoustic guitars; all of which means, it’s perfect and fitting for the 2015 Lincoln Navigator, the most luxurious full-size SUV on the new car market, in America or otherwise. What is “it,” then? It’s ziricote wood, a tropical hardwood hailing from South America, the southern part of Europe and even northern Africa, and it’s only available on the Reserve Package of the Lincoln Navigator, which will hit dealerships later this year. “Luxury customers understand design and especially desire customized design,” said Barb Whalen, color and material design manager. “The beautiful, natural color and…
