Lincoln’s New Year with McConaughey

Academy award winner, Matthew McConaughey, is partnering with Lincoln once again for the arrival of the new year.  Two new commercials featuring Matthew will be revealed January 1st during college football.  This past summer, the 2015 Lincoln MKC was put on the map with it’s stunning new design and  McConaughey’s unique acting style.  For 2015, Lincoln hopes to do the same with the 2015 Lincoln MKZ and the 2015 Lincoln MKZ hybrid. A buzz has been created through Lincoln’s different approach to advertising, which has been met with both negative and positive reviews.  Regardless of the feedback, Lincoln has experienced a 15% sales gain in 2014.  This is impressive when considering…

New MKC Expected to Help Lincoln Brand Revival

When a luxury carmaker is looking to revamp its brand, the go-to move is normally to introduce a car that will truly wow consumers with a big price tag and a number of luxury features—unless you’re Lincoln. The American carmaker has decided to go against the grain for its Lincoln brand revival, introducing its most affordable, smallest vehicle to date: the MKC compact crossover.   “MKC was a big decision for the company because conventional wisdom says you build imagery by your most expensive cars, but that’s not the reality in the luxury industry anymore,” said Jim Farley, Ford’s head of Lincoln, global sales, and marketing. “What luxury customers look…

Lincoln Collaborates with Food Network Canada

Lincoln is partnering with the Food Network in Canada. The Lincoln Motor Company continues to find unique and effective ways to market the resurgent brand and its excellent line of products. On the heels of the brand’s announcement as the signature sponsor of the Tribeca Film Festival comes this next project—a collaboration with Food Network Canada that ties the craftsmanship of cooking and car manufacturing together into an aesthetically-pleasing and appetizing bow. The marketing campaign takes the form of six different webisodes, each of which features a famous Canadian chef. The chefs recount one of their favorite aspects of cooking, which are then related to the sleek and stylish features…

Lincoln MKC and MKZ Help Sponsor ESSENCE’s Black Women in Music

Two all-new Lincoln Motor Company vehicles, the Lincoln MKC and MKZ, both helped sponsor ESSENCE magazine’s Black Women in Music event, which has become one of the music industry’s most popular events leading up to the Grammys. This year, Emeli Sande, the up-and-coming pop star who sings hits like “Next to Me” and “My Kind of Love,” was honored at ESSENCE’s event. Sande already has a long history of collaboration with the Lincoln Motor Company, especially since she was hand selected to participate in Lincoln’s “Journey” campaign, which showcases “inspiration, entrepeneurship, and people who have followed their dreams.” The Lincoln MKC sat on the red carpet at the event, while…

Lincoln MKZ Hybrid Recalled for Rollaway Risk

Nothing could ruin your day more than your car rolling away from you after you’ve parked it. The MKZ Hybrid is being recalled for just this reason after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found a fault in the transmission range sensor, allowing the car to possibly roll away after being parked. This issue is not only a huge safety issue, potentially resulting in car accidents, but it also violates the requirements of federal safety standards, which require every new car to have the pressure on the brake pad before shifting into “Drive” from “Park.” The transmission range sensor usually keeps the car from shifting from “Park” to “Drive” unless…

Surging Lincoln MKZ Sales Lead Ford to Great Sales Year

Anyone who wrote off the all-new Lincoln MKZ as a failure after a couple early shaky sales months looks pretty silly now—sales of the MKZ have gone into orbit over the last several months, helping keep the Ford Motor Company as the best-selling automaker in the United States for the fourth consecutive year. The Lincoln MKZ followed up a 114 percent increase in sales in November with a no-less-impressive73 percent rise in Decembe.  The Lincoln MKZ ended the year by leading the brand to an overall increase of 8 percent in the month of December. These huge sales numbers follow very successful marketing campaigns that have led to great reviews…
