Families gather around the television every year to watch holiday movies but sometimes the same 24-hour marathon can get old. Fortunately there are plenty of other Christmas movies to choose from. Here are some of what we think are the best Christmas movies. Happy holidays!
Elf – Starring Will Ferrell, this comedy focuses on a somewhat abnormal character. The comedian plays a man who was raised by elves in the North Pole. After learning of his origins as a human, he travels to New York City in search of his real father. This movie is full of hilarious antics that will leave your gut hurting by the end credits.
Home Alone – Unlike most Christmas movies, which focus on family gatherings, this one turns the tables. When Kevin is accidentally left alone while his family flies off on vacation, he learns what it means to defend his home from evil-doers. This lots-of-laughs movie will entertain even the grouchiest family members.
The Santa Clause – Starring Tim Allen, this movie puts a different spin on Old Saint Nick. After an unfortunate fall and an interesting clause on a business card, Tim Allen finds himself taking the place of Santa Claus for the holidays. What follows is a comedy-driven, family-friendly movie that’s sure to become a part of Christmas traditions in many families.
